During the initial consultation, the course of treatment will be determined depending on your concerns.

Julie first experienced acupuncture as a teenager, after having a few car accidents that led to severe pain and migraines. The course of treatment with acupuncture dramatically changed her life, and inspired her to change her career from Business studies and Jazz trumpet, to enrolling in the Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program (DTCM). Julie is an honors graduate of the prestigious and intensive five-year course at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver.
After completing her studies, Julie went to China to apprentice in the Second Affiliated Hospital in Hefei, China. Here she studied with many Masters of Chinese Medicine learning treatments for stroke patients, diabetic therapy, Moxibustion therapy, and many other diseases within the Hospital and Walk-in Clinic.
Julie’s passion and focus is Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture (FRA), which she studied in Berkeley, California under Mary Elizabeth Wakefield. From this amazing anti-aging treatment, it led her to study Facial Soundscapes in New Mexico. Many years later Julie still goes to New Mexico to assist teaching to new students from all over North America.
Julie continues to be further educated within Facial Rejuvenation, but is also dedicated to providing painless acupuncture procedures to help with over 65 conditions as listed by the World Health Organization. Julie had a phenomenal opportunity to work under Steiner London Spa operations on Royal Caribbean International, the world’s largest cruise ship company. She treated over 60 international patients per week within the spa, gave five seminars weekly on arthritis, back pain, facial rejuvenation, and menopause. From this Julie enjoys not only working within a clinical atmosphere, but also the relaxation the spa environment brings to patients.
