Getting Started with a Passion for Massage Therapy and Wellness

Kathleen Ross started her first Massage Therapy Clinic and Wellness Centre at the age of 22.  One of the first businesses of its kind in Winnipeg, it operated successfully for eight years. When that role came to an end, and after a three year sojourn in Mexico’s Riveria Maya freelancing in resort hotels and working as a spa manager, Kathleen returned home to freelance in Vancouver’s film community. Working with many 4 and 5 star downtown hotels providing spa services to celebrities, musicians, and sports stars she made a name for herself as a qualified and experienced spa specialist.

Branching out with High-End Spa Services

Kathleen’s experiences in the resort hotel industry led to the creation of her second business in 2001, operating and managing spa services at several of Vancouver’s finest hotels including the Loden Hotel, The Westin Grand and the Terminal City Club, a business which she continues to operate to this day.  At this time she also started a fitness and wellness spa at the Pacific Palisades Hotel, which opened in 2005 and operated for five years until the property closed for re-development in 2010.

Kathleen is currently a Managing Partner, Spa Therapist and Laser Technician at pHresh Spa + Wellness Club located in Vancouver’s West End neighbourhood. Kathleen and her business partners acquired pHresh Spa + Wellness Club in February 2009 where, using her extensive experience in the spa services industry, Kathleen is responsible for the strategic management of the company. In addition, she currently sits on the board of directors for the West End Business Improvement Association.
